Setup

  1. From WinCDSPro, Go to the File menu, Utilities, and select RestAPI Server.
  2. Configure your desired port.
  3. Enter a secured password.
    • While not required, a system password is strongly recommended to help secure your system.  While an attacker may never find your server, a password is the best and first line of defense against an attack.
  4. Press OK to save and launch the API server.

Application

  1. Download the app from the Google Play Store.
  2. Start the app and accept permissions (Camera for barcodes, etc).
  3. Click the three dots in the top-right corner and select Sever Settings.
  4. Enter your Server IP, Port, and password.
  5. Click Test to verify your settings.
  6. If satisfied, click the back arrow in the top left.
Salesman and Store Selection
  1. Once the above has been completed, you can enter you salesman login.
  2. Click the three dots in the top right corner and select User Settings.
  3. Enter Salesman name, password, and store location.
  4. When exiting to the main menu, the validated user should display on the main screen.  If login fails, the screen will say [Not Connected] and you will need to repeat the above procedure.

 

TIP:  When on the home screen, you can touch and hold the image to retry the connection at any time.
